The National Award for Best Theatre Performance for Children was presented, by the Ministry of Culture and Religious Affairsto, to the performance Pinocchio, by Carlo Collodi, adapted for stage and directed by Cornel Todea, set designer Viaceslav Vutcariov.

The award for Best Performance was achieved by If I were Little Red Riding Hood, by Ioan Gârmacea, directed by Sorana Coroamã-Stanca, at the Theatre Festival in Piatra Neamţ.

The Fire Bird Trophy, for Best Actress in a Leding Part, was achieved by Ani Creţu, at the International Theatre Festival for Children Naj, Naj, Naj, held in Zagreb, Croatia, for the part of Pinocchio, in the performance Pinocchio, after Carlo Collodi, directed by Cornel Todea, set designer Viaceslav Vutcariov.
